My 17 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry is a valuable asset I bring to the table. I am more than happy to work with your lender to help secure financing for your home purchase.
In addition to my banking experience, I have served in many volunteer capacities with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Having a daughter who was diagnosed at age 6 (12 years ago) with Type 1 diabetes prompted me to advocate for funding to provide research and better management of the disease. I have served as the Illinois State Leader for the JDRF and found that I'm very good at negotiating on behalf of others; whether it be for better care in our public schools, or NIH funding for research. I have testifed at both state and federal levels to increase awareness and I never pass up an opportunity to provide programs for civic groups such as Rotary or Lions Clubs.
I currently serve on the Governmental Affairs Committee for Capital Area Association of Realtors and also serve on the Petersburg City Council as Ward 3 Alderman and volunteer to assist with civic activities whenever possible. I am a board member for the Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. I love helping others and have found that the qualities I have fostered while in banking and as a diabetes advocate have carried over into my new real estate career...trust, advocate, nurturing, articulate, kindness and caring. This past spring I participated as a candidate for the Springfield Area ADA Kiss A Pig campaign. I a pleased to announce I raised nearly $13,000 for diabetes research.
I look forward to hearing from you.
